Gain Stabilization Systems

 Scintillation detectors with built-in radioactive sources are used to stabilize and control measuring chains of nuclear instruments.

 Detectors with alpha-sources (241Am or 239Pu) are used as sources of contrast amplitude light signals:

- NaI(Tl) or CsI(Tl) scintillators with the radionuclide plated on the crystal surface or distributed over its volume;

- amplitude distribution maximum of reference signals not less than 3.0 MeV in the gamma-quantum energy scale;

- resolution by the alpha line of 241Am no more than 7%;

- size: from dia. 10x5 mm to dia. 63x63 mm;

- source activity from 10 to 105 Bq.

 Detectors with beta-gamma-sources (60Co or 22Na are used as beta-particles detectors and simultaneously as gamma-radiation sources to form the reference signals in a spectrometric detector with discrimination of these signals by beta-gamma coincidences:

- organic scintillators with the radionuclide distributed throughout the volume;

- the reference source background suppression efficiency in spectrometric channels exceeds 90%;

- size: from dia. 5x1 mm to dia. 30x5 mm;

- source activity from 10 to 106 Bq;

- can be used in temperature range from -40 to +50°C.
